The regular Olympics in London are old news now, but don’t forget the 2012 Paralympics. Not at all to be outdone by the olympic Olympics, the Paralypics upped the celebration of British literature with a celebration of Britain’s amazing contributions to science and technology, much of which makes the Paralympics possible.
Sport doesn’t care who you are. Everyone can take part.

Olympic and Paralympic Posters at Tate Britain
London 2012 has commissioned twelve leading contemporary artists to create the official posters for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Screen prints and lithographs of these works will be displayed at Tate Britain as part of the London 2012 Festival.
Since 1912 each Olympic host city has commissioned one or more posters to celebrate the hosting of the Games and, since the first Paralympic Games was held at Stoke Mandeville, posters have also been commissioned for the Paralympic Games. Over the course of the last century a body of iconic work has been created.

Well, it’s over for now. The end of the London 2012 Summer Games. I always get a little too emotionally invested in the Olympics, but it’s such a great thing, to cheer on your nation. I believe our Olympians really did us proud this year, and I look forward to Sochi, to watch them compete again.
Good job, everyone. Your nation is so proud of you.
